A CAT 330B fitted with a boom, arm, Logmate head, and full guarding package. The VHLC guarding package consists of the following items. Each item is sold separately, not as a complete package: Overbody
Guarding The overbody is custom made to fit any machine and picots off the lugs mounted on the counterweight. it is raised and lowered via a 24 V power pack and lift cylinder. The power pack is connected straight to the battery so if the machine happens to break down the motor is accessible via raising the overbody. All ventilation areas are reproduced in the overbody as on the original machine. Underbody
& Slew Guard The underbody is fully welded to the underside of the machine to prevent any damage from sticks, stumps etc. There are several access doors to enable maintenance on the machine, as well as drainage holes for A/C and radiator hoses. Each door is fitted with heavy duty hinges and the underbody has a smooth finish so not to allow sticks etc. to get caught. The slew guard is bolted to tabs fitted around the inside of the slew ring access hole. This guard is to prevent any unwanted obstructions fouling on the slew ring. Bump
Rail
Bump rail is welded down each side of the machine to prevent side damage from standing trees or other obstacles. The rail is fully pressed to mach the side profile of the machine and forms a saw storage area at the front of the cabin. The bump rails other main purpose is a landing area for the cabin guard. Track
Ski's The track ski's are manufactured from high strength steel and are designed to bolt onto the side of the track frame for easy removal. The protect the track chain & rollers from rock, sticks etc. and prevent side load being applied to these parts. The ski's increase track life considerably in the forest. Cabin
Guarding The cab guard provides the operator with full protection from sticks and falling limbs etc. This cab guard has been tested and certified to the International forestry standard ISO 8083 (FOPS) for forestry machinery. The guard provides good visibility and is bolted to the machine for easy removal. There is a option of fitting side protection to the cab if required.
